Oral presentation speaker briefing notes

The aes17 conference committee welcome your contribution to this year’s International Evaluation Conference. In order to ensure that your presentation runs smoothly, a number of services and facilities will be provided for you. Please download the instructions and take the time to read these to ensure your presentation is successful.

Invitation to submit full text paper for peer review and publication in EJA or eligibility for the Hurworth Prize

Whilst your conference PowerPoint presentation is automatically published in the online Conference Proceedings, you are encouraged to submit a copy of your full text paper for publication. 

Your full text paper will be peer reviewed for publication in the Evaluation Journal of Australasia (EJA). You can also submit it for consideration of the 2017 Rosalind Hurworth Prize for Best Conference Paper with featured publication in EJA. 



Deadlines for full text paper submissions:

  • Full text paper submission (MS Word) for Hurworth Prize by 7 August 2017
  • Full text paper submission (MS Word) for publication in EJA by 22 September 2017

Conference Proceedings

Your conference PowerPoint presentation is automatically published in the online Conference Proceedings. You can withdraw your consent and/or make amendments until 22 September 2017.

 All conference presentations (except for e-Posters) are to be checked into the speaker preparation room at the National Convention Centre and must be formatted as follows:

  • File type: Microsoft PowerPoint (Windows or Apple Macintosh versions)
  • PowerPoint format:
    • 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio format (this setting is found in Page Setup)
    • Landscape

If you later alter your presentation for publication in the online proceeding should be submitted, no later than 22 September, in

  • MS Word

  • MS PowerPoint, or
  • Adobe PDF format
